On Thursday, the second round of the 2022 WTA Poland Open will feature Clara Burel of France versus Italy's Jasmine Paolini, the 10th seed.

Jasmine Paolini had a fantastic week last week in Italy, reaching the semifinal in Palermo. She carried that confidence over to Poland and had a strong start here as well. Despite the fact that Danka Kovinic is no pushover on clay, the Italian easily defeated her. 6-1 6-1. From the baseline, the Italian player controlled play by making good, deep attacks. With some outstanding results in the second half of the year, Paolini made her mark in tennis last year. She constantly plays attacking tennis because she enjoys it. Because there isn’t much diversity, she frequently is unable to recover when things go wrong. In the Palermo semifinal, she destroyed Bronzetti in the opening set but was unable to adjust later on, losing the match.
Clara Burel had a fantastic season in 2017 while competing in lower-level WTA tournaments and moving up the rankings. Although the French player has always been regarded as having exceptional potential, the transfer to the professional tennis world has been fairly sluggish. While competing at the highest level of tennis this year, she struck a real wall and was mostly unable to compete with some of the best players on the tour. She occasionally puts on a strong performance, but her 9–17 record indicates that she has generally struggled. She struggled and dropped out of the top 100; if she wants to get back in, she must play consistently. She got off to a strong start in round one by decisively defeating Anna-Karolina Schmiedlova.
Clara Burel and Jasmine Paolini will face each other in the second round of the 2022 WTA Poland Open on Thursday, July 28. The WTA 250 competition is scheduled to start from July 25 and end on July 31 this year.
