Jaume Munar v Bernabe Zapata Miralles will take on each other on Tuesday, July 19 in the first round of the 2022 Swiss open Gstaad.
The Swiss Open currently sponsored by J. Safra Sarasin and called the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad and originally known as the Swiss International Championships is a tennis tournament held in Gstaad, Switzerland. Held since 1898, the tournament is played on outdoor clay courts. Between 1970 and 1989 it was an event of the Grand Prix tennis circuit and is now a part of the ATP Tour schedule as an ATP Tour 250 series event. The first edition of the tournament was played in 1915 at the Gstaad Palace Hotel and was organized in collaboration with the Lawn Tennis Club (LTC) Gstaad.
Jaume Munar was upset by Pedro Sousa in the last round of qualifying at the Nordea Open this week, halting his momentum on the clay. Munar’s rating has also risen, and he is now only a few spots away from his career high of No. 52. He will visit the Swiss ski resort city for the third time in his career. Bernabe Zapata Miralles may not have won a title in 2022, but he has certainly accomplished more than he could have expected this season. Zapata Miralles enters the Gstaad draw after a strong showing in the Amersfoort Challenger last week.
Jaume Munar v Bernabe Zapata Miralles will take on each other on Tuesday, July 19 in the first round of the 2022 Swiss open Gstaad. The competition is scheduled to commence on July 17 and conclude on July 23 this year.
