Marcos Giron hasn’t been in great form recently and looks to start the year on a high. He hasn’t made it to the later stages of any of the major tournaments he has played in the last couple of months. He lost to Dimitrov in the Vienna Open in the quarter-finals after winning the first two matches Griekspoor and Norrie. In the next tournament which was the Paris Masters, he got knocked out right in the qualifiers stage to Lehecka, and at the recent Adelaide International 1 as he lost to Popyrin in the round of 16 stage after beating Gasquet in the first round. In the European Open, he also got knocked out in the first round itself to Korda. He beat Federico Coria and J.J. Wolf in the ASB Classic before losing to Cameron Norrie. In the ongoing Delray Beach Open, he beat Shelton in the first-round matchup by 4-6, 4-6, and in the round-of-16 matchup, he beat Pecotic by 6-3, 6-3.
Miomir Kecmanovic has been in stellar form for the past few months and he will be adamant to perform well in the Delray Beach Open as well. At the Dallas Open, he got knocked out right in the first round by Gomez, and the same was the result when he was shown the door by Jarry at the Australian Open in the opening round as well. At the Adelaide International 2, he made it to the quarter-finals losing to Kokkinakis in what was a three-set thriller. At the Adelaide International 1, he made it to the round-of-16 stage losing to Medvedev, and at the Tennis Napoli Open, he made his way into the semis losing to Musetti. In the ongoing Delray Beach Open, he beat Borges in the round-of-16 matchup by 3-6, 5-7.
