The top seeds in the top half of the draw, Taylor Fritz and Denis Shapovalov, have been given byes in the first round.
The Delray Beach Open’s 31st iteration will take place from February 13–19, 2023. Players from the men’s and women’s tours will also compete in Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, and Doha as part of the four tournaments that will be held the following week. The only top-10 competitor in the Delray Beach Open is Taylor Fritz, who also heads the field as the top seed. Denis Shapovalov is seeded third, followed by fellow American Tommy Paul at number two, and Miomir Kecmanovic at number four. Cameron Norrie, the defending champion, has chosen to take part in the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires. Reilly Opelka, who finished second last year, is also absent this time around because he is still recovering from his health issues. A thrilling week of tennis is planned with a competitive draw.
The competition has undergone numerous brand changes. Prior to that, it went by the names Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, Citrix Tennis Championships, and America’s Red Clay Championships. In Coral Springs, Florida, the first competition was held on clay in 1993. In 1999, the competition relocated to Delray Beach, Florida, where it is now. Since then, hardcourts have been used. Among the former champions present are Marin Cilic, Lleyton Hewitt, and Juan Martin del Potro. The competition has a 28-player draw and is currently a part of the ATP 250 series.
The 2023 ATP Delray Beach Open will have five rounds of play excluding the qualifying rounds. These are the round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
