Top seed and tournament favorite Iga Swiatek have been consistent as well winning the majority of the tournaments she has played in recent months. She will be adamant to do the same at the ongoing Indian Wells Masters. She won the Qatar Open recently by beating the likes of Pegula, Kudermetova, Bencic, and Collins on the way. Sorana Cirstea has not been among the tennis stars who have been making it to the later stages of all the tournaments they have been playing but having made it this far she will be adamant to take it to the finish line at the Indian Wells Masters. Though she is up against a highly-ranked opponent, she is not to be taken lightly. In her recent tournaments, the Australian Open, the Abu Dhabi Open, and the Qatar Open, she has found herself bowing out right in the very first stage. At the Adelaide International 2 tournament and the recent Dubai Tennis Championships, she made it to the round of 32 stage. In the ongoing Indian Wells, she received a walkover in the first-round matchup against Keys when she was leading by 6-1, and in the round of 32 matchup, she beat Pera by 3-6, 1-6. She beat Garcia in the last-round matchup by 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
