Monday's opening round of the 2022 Paris Masters features Adrian Mannarino of France taking on Poland's Hubert Hurkacz, the tournament's tenth seed.
The ATP Finals in Turin, where Hubert Hurkacz competed last year, remain his goal. He’ll need to have a tremendously great performance—much stronger than what he displayed in Vienna the week prior—in order to advance. Although he performed well in the capital of Austria, Borna Coric beat him in the quarterfinal because he missed too many opportunities. Hurkacz has had a relatively good year overall, going 40-20 so far, but there haven’t been any really noteworthy outcomes. He participated in the Montreal final, but Pablo Carreno Busta was defeated. Hurkacz has been playing a lot of tennis recently to accumulate enough points for the Finals, but his results have been inconsistent.
The French player Adrian Mannarino has had a generally bad season, and he isn’t performing well at the moment. The overall record is only 31-31, and it was a little better before this recent run of poor performances. It was strange that he lost in the opening round of the Metz tournament given his overall success both indoors and on home ground. He then had back-to-back round-one losses in Napoli and Basel after losing in round one of Tel Aviv. Astana was a little better, with a quarterfinal, though.
Hubert Hurkacz and Adrian Mannarino are scheduled to take on one another in the first round of the 2022 Paris Masters on Monday, October 31. The tournament is scheduled to be held from October 31 to November 6, 2022.
The ATP Paris Masters 2022 will have five rounds of action excluding the qualifiers. These are the round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The competition’s main draw is set to commence on October 31, 2022 and conclude on November 6, 2022.
