Guido Pella hasn’t been in great form recently and looks to start the year on a high. He hasn’t made it to the later stages of any of the major tournaments he has played in the last couple of months. He lost to Francisco Cerúndolo in the Australian Open in the first round and also in the opening round to Juan Cerundolo at the Montevideo Challenger. He beat Vavasorri in the first-round match of the ongoing Cordoba Open with the score ending 6-2, 6-2.
Hugo Dellien has been in great form recently and looks to take that form into the Cordoba Open as well. He made it to the semi-finals of the last tournament, which was the Concepcion Challenger losing to Coria. In the Australian Open and in Wimbledon, he lost to Couacaud and De Minaur right in the first round. In the ongoing Cordoba Open, he beat Seyboth Wild in the first qualifier by 6-4, 4-6, 7-5, then he faced Kicker in the second qualifier beating him by 4-6, 6-1, 6-2. In the last round, he beat Cachín by 6-3, 6-4.
