Grigor Dimitrov hasn’t been in good touch lately and has been losing all the recent tournaments he has played in. He will be adamant to make a change in fortune and perform well at the Marseille Open. He couldn’t make it past the first stage mark in most of his last tournaments, losing to Virtanen at the Vilnius Challenger and to Collignon at the Koblenz Challenger. At the Quimper Challenger, he lost to Fils after winning the first match against Pospisil, and at the Australian Open, he lost to Diaz Acosta in the qualifying stage. At Rotterdam Open, he made it to the quarters and was knocked out by Griekspoor in that phase. At the ongoing Marseille Open, he defeated Gueymard Wayenburg and Brancaccio in the first two qualifiers by 4-6, 4-6 and 1-6, 4-6 respectively. At the round-of-32 matchup agasint Ymer, he got the better of his opponent and finished the match 6-3, 5-7, 3-6.
