Grigor Dimitrov hasn’t been in good touch lately and has been losing all the recent tournaments he has played in. He will be adamant to make a change in fortune and perform well at the Rotterdam Open. He couldn’t make it past the first stage mark in most of his last tournaments, losing to Lehecka at the Stockholm Open, and to Ivashka at the Sofia Open. He made it to the semi-finals of the Vienna Open thereby losing to Daniil Medvedev and also made it to the third round of the Australian Open losing to Djokovic. Alex de Minaur hasn’t been in great form recently and looks to start the year on a high. He hasn’t made it to the later stages of any of the major tournaments he has played in the last couple of months. He lost to Rune at the Swiss Indoors right in the first round and also in the opening round to Kwon at the Japan Open. He made it to the semi-finals of the Stockholm Open losing to Rune again after beating Shapovalov, Wolf, and Bonzi in the first three matches. At the Australian Open, he made it to the fourth round losing to Djokovic after beating players like Bonzi, Mannarino, and Hsu on the way. In the ongoing Rotterdam Open, he beat Rublev in the first-round matchup by 4-6, 4-6, and in the round-of-16 matchup, he beat Cressy by 5-7, 6-3, 3-6.
