After trailing by a mini-break in the crucial tie-break, the Serbian claimed the final four points of the match, including a defensive masterclass to set up match point, to win the match 6-2, 3-6, 7-6(4). Despite getting off to a flying start in the first set and having two late break points at 4-4 and 15/40, Djokovic was unable to capitalise on them and instead forced to mount a spectacular comeback of his own.
