Borna Coric and Corentin Moutet are scheduled to take on one another in the first round of the 2022 Paris Masters on Tuesday, November 1.
Although the Frenchman Corentin Moutet has the support of the crowd behind him, his recent form hasn’t been great, with only five of his last ten victories. However, he recently defeated his fellow countryman Ugo Humbert in straight sets, which should give him some confidence going into this match. Despite having a set lead and avoiding a disastrous defeat, his previous victory over Geoffrey Blancaneaux wasn’t one of his best. In 2022, the Frenchman has a 38-20 win-loss record, but his 5-6 losing record on indoor courts is concerning going into this matchup.
Borna Coric has been spectacular since August, despite losing his last match in Vienna to the very reliable Denis Shapovalov. After falling to Cilic in straight sets in Montreal, the Croatian stunned everyone by winning the Cincinnati Masters tournament, defeating Rafael Nadal early on in a match that required a deciding set, and then surprising everyone by defeating Roberto Bautista Agut, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Cameron Norrie, and Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets. Coming into this game, the Croatian’s last 10 results are pretty respectable at 7-3. He is 10-5 on hard courts this year despite not playing many matches in 2022. (3-1 indoors).
Borna Coric and Corentin Moutet are scheduled to take on one another in the first round of the 2022 Paris Masters on Tuesday, November 1. The tournament is scheduled to be held from October 31 to November 6, 2022.
