One of the semi-finals of the 2022 Palermo Open will see two home favourites play against one another as Lucia Bronzetti and Jasmine Paolini are all set to take the Center Court by storm. Bronzetti recorded a fantastic victory against fifth seed Caroline Garcia on Friday in the quarter-final. The score at the end of the match was 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 with the Italian hitting two aces and scoring two out of 15 break points. She also recorded win percentages of 73% and 43% respectively on the first and second serves. Earlier in the competition, Bronzetti had defeated the likes of Elina Avanesyan and Xiyu Wang.
Jasmine Paolini has been on a great run of form in the competition as well. In the quarter-final, she defeated eighth seed Nuria Parrizas-Diaz by a score of 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 6-2. The Italian hit one ace in the contest and scored six out of 14 break points. Earlier, Paolini had defeated Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in the competition.
Lucia Bronzetti and Jasmine Paolini will take on each other on Saturday, July 23 in the semi-final of the 2022 WTA Palermo Open. The competition is scheduled to commence on July 18 and conclude on July 24 this year.

The 2022 Palermo Open will have five rounds of play for WTA competitors. These are the first round, second round, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The tournament is scheduled to be held from July 18 to July 24, but the qualifiers will commence from July 16 for women’s categories.
