In the 100m breaststroke, he clocked an impressive record-breaking time of 57.76 seconds, leaving Yan Zibei, trailing by 1.33 seconds. Qin’s versatility was on full display when he took part in relay events, winning gold medals in the breaststroke events of both the mixed and men’s 4 × 100m medley relays.
His performance in the 200m breaststroke was noteworthy as he registered a time of 2 minutes and 7.03 seconds, surpassing Dong Zhihao by 1.64 seconds. As the Asian Games swimming events drew to a close, Qin Haiyang bagged another gold in the 50m breaststroke and established a remarkable time of 26.25 seconds, while Sun Jiajun, his compatriot, collected the silver medal.
