In Taipei’s 2017 Summer Universiade, Rapsys was a force to be reckoned with across four events. He began his winning streak with a bronze in the 100m backstroke, missing silver by a mere 0.05 seconds. However, he made a solid comeback in the 200m freestyle and captured the gold medal, breaking the Lithuanian record with a swift 1:45.75. Another standout performance came in the 200m backstroke, where he surged from the back to grab the gold medal.
In 2022, at Melbourne’s World Short Course Championships, Rapsys added more achievements to his long list of collections. He secured a well-deserved bronze in the 400m freestyle, just a couple of seconds behind gold medalist Kieran Smith from the US. In the concluding 200m freestyle event, he gave a commendable performance, clocking 1:41.74 and finishing seventh in the finals.
