Roller sports debuted in the 2010 Asian Games in China and soon gained popularity as an eagerly awaited part of the sporting event.
The excitement is building as roller skating takes centre stage at the upcoming Asian Games 2023. The event is scheduled from September 28 to October 5. This thrilling event will unfold at the Qiantang Roller Sports Centre. Naturally, Qiantang District will witness athletes from across Asia vying for 12 prestigious gold medals.
Roller sports debuted in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. It soon gained popularity as an eagerly awaited part of the sporting event. The event was later introduced under the roller sports competitions at the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta. Roller games were held at the JSC Rollerskate Stadium and the JSC Skateboard Stadium in Indonesia. However, when it comes to the medal tally, Japan swooped in a lion’s share of the medals.
