Radhika, the Indian wrestler, displayed her incredible skills at the Asian Wrestling Championships in 2024, earning a well-deserved silver medal in the 68kg weight category. She fought her way to the finals by defeating Kazakhstan’s Albina Kairgeldinova, proving herself to be a tough opponent. Despite losing to Nanoka Ozaki of Japan, who won the gold medal by 15-2, Radhika’s outstanding performance is proof of her dedication and hard work.

In the 50 kg category of the Asian Wrestling Championship 2024 at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Shivani Pawar achieved a remarkable feat by bagging the bronze medal with her amazing performance against Samnang Dit of Cambodia. Although she couldn’t secure the silver medal and lost to Ziqi Feng of China, her dedication and hard work are respectable. Other Indian wrestlers, like Tamanna, Pushpa Yadav, and Priya, also gave it their all. Priya even made it to a special round of matches before losing. Pushpa Yadav in the 59 kg category made it to the bronze medal match but she was defeated by Kazakhstan’s Diana Kayumova. Priya was also in the bronze medal contention match in the women’s 76kg category, However, Kazakhstan’s Elmira Syzdykova defeated her by fall (4-2).

India sent a total of 30 wrestlers to the competition, showing how important wrestling is to the country. The Asian Wrestling Championships are a big deal for wrestlers all over Asia. Doing well in this competition is important for those who want to compete in even bigger events in the future.
