NBA Report: Atlanta Hawks record sixth straight win as they defeat Boston Celtics 

Boston Fail to deliver at the Clutch Moment as the Atlanta Hawks register their sixth consecutive win ascending to the 11th spot in the eastern conference.

Atlanta Hawks on their homecoming defeat Boston Celtics 108-92 on Friday night at the State Farm Arena. Hawks record their sixth straight win game and 13th victory at their home. Boston’s poor run of form continues as they lose their 15th game away from home. The Hawks make it 23 wins and ascend to 11th Position on the Eastern Conference points table.

Marcus Smart scored a two-point jumper as Boston got on board early but Trae Young replied with a two-point jumper as Hawks got underway.

The scores leveled at 13- 13 before Trae Young committed a technical foul and Tatum’s free throw put Boston ahead.

The Hawks then went on a 15-3 towards the end of the 1st quarter to take advantage of 12 points, the thescorelinee at 20-32.

Boston put up a fightback early in the second quarter as Jayson Tatum and Josh Richardson scored 12 points in total for the Celtics as they reduced the lead.

Bogdan Bogdanovic and Deandre Hunter scored 7 and 6 points respectively as the Hawks lead by 15 points at halftime. The scoreline was at 47 – 62.

The Celtics were fired up in the third quarter and shot with much better efficiency. Marcus Smart scored two three-point jump shots as Boston began the fightback, John Collins on the other end started scoring as he delivered two two-point jump shots to take the lead back to 16 points.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown went on to score 19 points late in the third quarter as Boston was trailing by three points at the end of the third quarter the scoreline at 77-80. John Collins scored 10 points for the Hawks in the third quarter.

The game was well in balance at the start of the fourth quarter. The Celtics were on the charge early in the 4th quarter as they were trailing by 3 points and Bogdan Bogdanovic scored a three-point jumper in the assist of Trae Young before the Celtics called for a timeout with 7:41 left on the clock.

After the time out, Trae Young got into the act and had a short 5-0 run and the Hawks went on an 8-18 run to seal the win as Boston failed to score in the clutch moment.

Jaylen Brown had 26 points and 12 rebounds for Boston. Trae Young scored 21 points on the night for the Hawks.

 Celtics coach Ime Udoka said, “We got back in the game by guarding and got some ball movement,”

“We just played defense and really fought. Shots weren’t going, especially for me, Trae Young said after the game.
