Just a week before, we saw some huge fights taking place, some knockouts, and interesting fights. This week again ONE Championship brings you exciting ONE Friday Fights 22. On Friday, June 23, ONE Championship will present another tremendous show at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Asia primetime. ONE Friday Fights 22 is the next PPV of the promotion’s weekly offering at Bangkok’s famed arena. For the local audience, there will be 11 spectacular Muay Thai clashes and two of them are championship fights, and mixed martial arts events to kick off the evening.
In the closing fight of ONE Friday Fights 22, two of Thailand’s most renowned strikers – both past ONE World Champions – will square off for the ONE Interim Strawweight Muay Thai World Title. Prajanchai PK Saenchai and famous veteran Sam-A Gaiyanghadao first fought in July 2021, when Prajanchai won a dramatic decision to take Sam-A’s strawweight Muay Thai title. With incumbent champion Joseph Lasiri now out, these adversaries will square off once more for 26 pounds of gold and bragging rights as Thailand’s finest strawweight striker.
After months of building tensions, incumbent ONE Heavyweight World Champion Arjan Bhullar and interim divisional king Anatoly Malykhin will resolve their intense rivalry in a long-awaited World Title unification bout. Canadian-Indian star “Singh” hasn’t competed since winning gold in May 2021, and he’ll have his work cut out for him against Malykhin.
For his part, the unbeaten Russian knockout artist has a perfect finishing record in 12 professional fights, was voted ONE’s 2022 MMA Fighter of the Year, and has been itching for a shot at undisputed heavyweight gold. Fans should expect tight action early and frequently in this titanic clash between two of the world’s most scariest big guys.
