Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have started their IPL 2022 season in traditional fashion as they lost three matches on the trot. However, in the 10-franchise event, the results could cost them dearly in their bid to book a berth in the IPL 2022 playoffs.

Mumbai Indians will be looking to break their losing streak against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2022 clash at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune later on Sunday.

And captain Rohit Sharma has asked his teammates to show desperation on the field to get their season back on track.

“We seriously cannot be blaming individuals here. It’s all of us. We win together, we lose together. That is as simple as that for me,” Rohit said in a passionate speech in the dressing room after the game against KKR.

“I think slight desperation is required from each one of us. That desperation is very, very, very important. Because opposition are different, they come up with different plans. We just need to stay ahead of them. And the only way we can do that is by having that slight hunger and that desperation on the field—with the bat, with the ball,” he added.
