IPL 2022 MI vs LSG: KL Rahul century guides Lucknow Super Giants to huge total

The 26th match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants has started with a bang as KL Rahul smashed a blitzy century.

The 26th match of IPL 2022 between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants have started with a bang where KL Rahul smashed a blitzy century. Apart from him, Manish Pandey scored 38 and some other quick cameos guided LSG to post a huge total of 199 runs in 20 overs at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday (April 16).

Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl. Put into bat, LSG got off to a flying start with KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock adding 52 runs within the powerplay before the latter got out for 24. However, his dismissal brought Manish Pandey in the middle who finally managed to contribute with the bat.

He scored 38 off 29 and stitched a partnership of 72 runs as well before Murugan Ashwin bowled him. It was a tossed up delivery from Murugan Ashwin, which Manish tried to swing across the line but got beaten. And, it uprooted the leg-stump as well. However, after his dismissal, KL Rahul took the charge again.

KL Rahul smashed a stunning hundred

Apart from them, Deepak Hooda smashed a quick 15 off 8 whereas KL Rahul remained unbeaten at 103 off 60 with 9 fours and 5 sixes as well.

As far as Mumbai Indians’ bowling department is concerned, bowlers struggled with the ball. While Jasprit Bumrah conceded 24 runs but went wicketless. On the other hand, Tymal Mills gave away 54 runs whereas Jaydev Unadkat picked up 2 for 32 as well.
