Chennai Super Kings got a huge blow as their key pace bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the entire league with a back injury. Having entered the tournament without Chahar, CSK, the defending champions have struggled in the middle and also lost all their four matches so far in the 10-team tournament and are placed at the bottom of the points table too.

While the management have always said that Deepak Chahar would be fit before the second week of April, this injury added that there was “no chance of his availability” in the tournament as well. However, according to sources, the speedster suffered a back injury during his rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
