Serhou Guirassy, born on March 12, 1996, is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga and also represents the Guinea national team. Guirassy was born in Arles, France, to parents of Guinean descent. Guirassy began his football career with Montargis, Amilly, and Laval. In July 2015, he made a move to Lille from Laval, where he signed a four-year contract. Guirassy joined FC Koln in July 2016, on a five-year contract.

He made his Bundesliga debut in April 2017. In his second season, he scored his first goal for the team in a match against Bayer Leverkusen. In January 2019, Guirassy was loaned to Amiens until the season’s end. Amiens then exercised their option to buy him for the upcoming season. On August 27, 2020, Guirassy joined Ligue 1 side Rennes on a five-year deal. He made an immediate impact, scoring two goals in his first match, a 4-2 league win against Nimes.

In the 2023-24 season, Guirassy made history by scoring ten goals in the first five matches, including his first Bundesliga hat-trick against Mainz, equalling a record previously held by Robert Lewandowski. He also set a new Bundesliga record by scoring a hat-trick within 15 minutes in a 3-1 win against Wolfsburg, totaling 13 goals in the first seven matches of the season, surpassing Lewandowski’s previous record of 11 goals in both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. Guirassy represents the Republic of Guinea at the senior level. He made his debut for the Guinean national team in a friendly match against South Africa on March 25, 2022.
