Julio Enciso, born on 23 January 2004, is a professional football player from Paraguay. He plays as a forward for the Premier League team Brighton & Hove Albion and the Paraguay national team. Enciso’s journey in football began at a local club in Caaguazu, Paraguay. At the age of twelve, he was scouted by Club Libertad. Making his debut with Club Libertad’s senior team on 17 March 2019 at the age of 15, he played a crucial role in their 4–0 victory against Deportivo Santani, marking him as the youngest debutant for Libertad.

On 17 June 2022, Enciso joined Brighton & Hove Albion for a transfer sum of 9.5 million pounds, with potential additional fees. He made his Brighton debut on 24 August 2022 against Forest Green Rovers in the EFL Cup’s second round. Enciso made his Premier League debut on 29 October, entering the field as a substitute for Adam Lallana in Brighton’s 4–1 home victory over Chelsea. His inaugural goal for the club came on 4 April 2023, against Bournemouth. On 24 May 2023, Enciso scored his first goal at AMEX Stadium with a remarkable 25-yard equalizer against Manchester City. This goal secured Brighton’s spot in the 2023–24 UEFA Europa League. It was recognized as the BBC Goal of the Season for 2022–23, the Premier League Goal of the Season 2022-23.
His impactful performance continued on 19 August 2023 when Enciso assisted both of Solly March’s goals during Brighton’s 4–1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the second match of the 2023–24 season. Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury the following week, leading to an extended period of absence, as confirmed by manager Roberto De Zerbi. Enciso has also represented Paraguay in many youth international tournaments, including the 2019 South American U-15 Championship. He played his first game with the senior Paraguay national team during the 2021 Copa America, making his debut against Bolivia on 14 June 2021.
