In preparation for their return to competitive play against Diocesano in the Copa del Rey, Getafe will use the friendly as a warm-up.
On Thursday, December 8, a friendly match between Getafe and Guadalajara will take place at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. In a November friendly matchup against Real Valladolid, the hosts were defeated 1-0. The difference between the two teams came from a strike by Roberto Arroyo in the 27th minute. Guadalaraja, on the other hand, have not played since losing to Puebla in the Liga MX playoff in October.
A 1-1 draw was impossible to distinguish between the two teams. Martin Barragan gave the hosts the lead in the 58th minute, but Carlos Barajas pulled the visitors even in the sixth minute of added time. Puebla won the subsequent penalty shootout 5-4 to advance. In preparation for their return to competitive play against Diocesano in the Copa del Rey, Getafe will use the friendly as a warm-up.
Getafe will want to start their return to competitive play on a strong note because they are perilously close to the La Liga relegation zone. Guadalajara, meanwhile, lost their final five games in all competitions to have a disappointing league season. The home field advantage gives the La Liga team an advantage because the Mexicans are far below Getafe’s level. For the Los Azulones, head coach Quique Sanchez Flores is probably going to name a strong team. Getafe should win easily in a game with lots of goals.
Getafe possible line-up: Casilla, Amavi, Alderete, Duarte, Djene, Portu, Alena, Milla, Seoane, Unal, Munir
Guadalajara possible line-up: Jimenez, Orozco, Olivas, Sepulveda, Sanchez, Calderon, Beltran, Flores, Brizuela, Vega, Alvarado
