This level of captaincy numbers marks an all-time high, and when counting in Triple Captains, the figure climbs to an impressive 7.5 million, also setting a new record.
It’s worth noting that Haaland has a strong track record against Marco Silva’s team, having scored in both of his appearances against them last season. The striker made a spectacular entrance to English football in his debut season, leaving an historic mark by shattering the Premier League’s single-season goal-scoring record with an astonishing 36 goals.
