Christian is a Danish professional footballer who at present plays for the Premier League club Brentford. Eriksen first started playing football in the academy of the local side Middelfart G&BK before joining Odense Boldklub where he started to develop his skills and abilities. In 2008, Christian Eriksen finally decided to move to Ajax. He signed a contract with the Amsterdam-based club and was promoted to the first team in the year 2010. Ajax happened to be his breakthrough club. However, he bid adieu to Ajax in 2012 and agreed to terms with Tottenham Hotspur. Eight seasons later, Christian Eriksen closed a deal with Inter Milan in January 2020. But, almost half a year after his UEFA Euro 2020 accident, Inter Milan confirmed that they had terminated their contract with Eriksen on mutual agreement. He was similarly offered a six-month contract by Brentford in the January of 2022.
Playing for Ajax, Eriksen won three Eredivisie titles and the KNVB Cup. Eriksen was in his prime when playing for Spurs. He ended by winning the Danish Football Player of the Year award and was named Tottenham’s Player of the Season in two instances. He was even voted into the 2017–18 PFA Team of the Year, and later also reached the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final. The Denmark international famously broke the record for the most goals scored by a Danish player in the Premier League. For his country Denmark, he was named Danish Football Player of the Year a record five times.
Real Madrid’s midfield maestro is an exceptional player who over the years has been displaying an impressive style of play at the center of the pitch. No doubt that Luka Modric has excelled up to this point in his career by providing a different kind of depth in the midfield at Madrid. Meanwhile, Eriksen has been credited as an elegant player owning the midfield with his spectacular playmaking skills and abilities. He surely has stepped up during his spell in England with Spurs and now with Brentford. However, Eriksen has got plenty to prove in order to reach the same level as Modric.
It is certain that Juan Mata was one of Europe’s best attacking midfielders. He has racked up amazing performances for Manchester United with his skills and abilities. The Spaniard has definitely stepped up in the middle of the park at Old Trafford by producing excellent passes and providing assists. He was well deemed to be extremely good with his shooting accuracy and goal conversion rate. Christian Eriksen on the contrary can be said to be another midfielder posing great talent with his creative skills. Though he is yet to reach Mata’s level, he still has a few years ahead of him to progress and excel.
Mesut Ozil was one of Arsenal’s hottest prospects. He turned out to be one of the best-attacking midfielders in all of Europe during his prime. The German is well-known for his technical skills, creativity, and passing accuracy. Despite the fact, that he is no longer playing in England, he was best known for his ability to provide assists to his teammates during his time at Arsenal. Mesut Ozil and his contributions were something that was counted as outstanding. As far as Eriksen is concerned, the Danish international seems to adapt well in his first season with Brentford. He surely has got a strong chance to reach the heights Ozil managed in his prime years. But it is believed that Ozil in his day was a better player than the Danish midfielder.
