Green letters are in the word and in the correct position, yellow letters are in the word but in a different spot, and grey letters are not in the word of the day. It’s worth noting that a green or yellow letter can occur more than once in a word — for example, if you get one green “a,” there could be another “a” somewhere else in the word — but you won’t know until you play the following word. If you try to enter AEIOU, for example, the game will give you an error notice that says “Not in word list.”

The noun “BLOKE” refers to a male. It’s most typically heard in casual British conversation.
For individuals unfamiliar with colloquial British English, the word “BLOKE” can be confusing. It’s unlikely to come to mind if it’s not in your lexicon. Thankfully, the two vowels should be memorised rather quickly. Then there’s the more difficult “B,” “L,” and “K,” which are all uncommon letters.
