Rose and Nero Argence’s conflict continued in episode 9 of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic. When Rose learned that Nero’s sword had a curse on it, she sent him rushing back to join their team in battle. Because of this, it became clear that Rose’s side was triumphing.
Realizing that Nero’s sword had a curse, she decided to strike him in the direction of their team’s battleground. Because of this, it became clear that Rose’s side was in the lead.
Nero cast a spell that caused his minions to commit themselves in order to defeat Rose’s army as he foretold the return of the Demon Lord. Instead than focusing on curing her troops, Rose became fixated on Nero, which caused her entire unit to lose. It was all for naught because she was about to perish at his hands if Aul hadn’t given her life for Rose.
This infuriated Rose to the point that she nearly murdered Nero; but, a clandestine subordinate named Amila rescued him. Rose returned to Aul to hear her final words after seeing herself and Aul in the pair and then let them go.
Rose needed a month to recuperate from the catastrophe after informing the King of what had transpired and relinquishing her positions as unit leader and knight. In order to make the most of her second opportunity, she decided to start the Rescue Team and look for other people much like herself.
