Previously in Episode 4

Putting down his rifle, he tells Takeshi to do it. Takeshi approaches Fable, points his gun at his face, and makes derogatory comparisons to other serial killers he is familiar with. Per folklore, he differs from other murderers. Additionally, Fable expresses a desire to lead a tranquil life in this area. Putting aside his weapon, Fable takes off his mask and bows before Takeshi.

Please, Takeshi, let him stay in this town, he begs. With Fable, Takeshi ponders the ultimate purpose of existence. In the end, he wishes Fable and others like her would leave this town. Fable tells Takeshi a little story about his favorite parrot, Captain. As soon as Takeshi overhears Fable speaking, he points his gun at the man Fable vanquished.

After killing the man, Takeshi tells Fable why he did it. Takeshi then lets his ally Kuro know that Fable will be staying with them in Taihei for a year; Kuro was the man Fable knocked unconscious. Concurrently, Takeshi extends a warm welcome to Fable in Taihei. Tell Kuro not to tell anyone what happened here; that’s what Takeshi says. If anything, he would prefer it if he could inform others that only he and Takeshi were there.

Fable and Takeshi are making plans to lunch at a restaurant. As they go out, Takahashi and Yoko stop at a bar, where he wonders how much his date will cost. If Yoko wants to get some booze, she asks Takahashi. After some consideration, Takahashi agrees to join her in her drinking. As they imbibe, the two get into a raucous in the pub. While at the restaurant, Fable and Takeshi talk about the cameras that Fable took down from his room.
