Recap and Review

Suppose SAO and Alfheim Online were both death games. Imagine if, instead of Kirito, the voiced by Kensho Ono character Shin—a black-and-red swordsman—ended it? Although he did manage to log out of the game, he was not as fortunate as his fellow humans and was instead sent 500 years into the future of the gaming realms! He deserved better after defeating the Final Boss, but at least he leveled up, right?

No fantasy hero is complete without rescuing a female from some peril, be it human captors or a gigantic boar monster. Being a cute elf voiced by Kaede Hondo is the best reason to save them, of course!

Shin appears just as bewildered by his present predicament as Tiera is by him, which leads her to suspect him. Despite this, Shin has good intentions, and the money he used to spend on banal items is now much more valuable to him. The High Elf Schnee (Asami Seto!)—her master—and he has a past together.

Also, Tiera’s dark hair is a curse that brings demons and misery upon her. After seeing her chest, Shin may do the least he can by purifying her and giving her back a little of her old white hair, for which Tiera would be eternally thankful. This is particularly true now that her eyesight has returned.
