In the second episode, “I Encountered an Adventurer,” Lloyd’s brother Prince Albert paid him a library visit. In order to hone his magical abilities, Albert brings him to a shooting gallery, where he casts basic fireball spells at moving targets. Lloyd also employs his fireballs, although he pretends he isn’t very good at them by hitting each target on the side. Seemingly aware of Lloyd’s plot, Albert whisks away his entourage, leaving Lloyd to hone his magical skills in solitude.
Lloyd, now all by himself, is eager to put the power he learnt in his combat with Grim to use. He takes Grim into his hand and tries to cast a spell stack duel with him, but Grim doesn’t understand how they operate. In the face of this insurmountable obstacle, Lloyed seizes control of Grim’s mouth and unleashes a barrage of spells, unleashing an incredibly strong onslaught into the sky.
Once Albert is alone in his room, his servants wonder why he wants to be near Lloyd. He is so distant from the throne—so he tells them his secret. He thinks Lloyd possesses extraordinary magical abilities and may become Grand Sage. Everyone is surprised by this. But they all think it would be a good idea to get to know the boy. They step outside and see the sky has grown threateningly overcast.
This Is My Seventh Reincarnation As a Prince Lloyd returns to the grounds in Episode 2, where Grim is amazed by Lloyd’s remarkable magical abilities. Thanks to the spell Lloyd cast, the sky above them has a huge hole in it, allowing them to see the universe for the first time. It returns to its usual state rapidly.
