Jinx Chapter 53 Recap 

In Chapter 53 of Jinx, While packing Kim looked at his clothes and recalled a conversation he had with his grandmother. She had a unique request because she used to live on the west coast close to the beach but life pulled her away and she was never able to go back. Perhaps to spread her ashes, she wanted Kim to take her there one last time.

Kim wrote a letter of resignation and a private note to Jaekyung while feeling mixed emotions. It was difficult to say goodbye especially in light of the possibility that he played a part in the results of their most recent battle.

The news of Kim’s leaving caught Jaekyung off guard. After tries to talk him out of it, Kim had already made up his mind so now Jaekyung had to struggle with the difficulties of finding another therapist while Kim took a leave.

As Jaekyung thought back on what had happened before Kim left he remembered the night before the match. That’s when it came to him why Kim had acted the way he had, Jaekyung searched his flat and discovered the letter behind.

In the letter Jaekyung said he paid the hospital fees and Kim promised to pay off all of his loans. He also said he hoped Jaekyung would find a good therapist, unable to escape the guilt, Jaekyung was overcome by Kim’s choice.
