The fans are excited for Kaiju No. 8 Episode 2 which will be out soon. Giant creatures known as kaiju wander the streets of this made-up Japan. This alternate Japan has also dispatched the Japan Defense Force to wipe out the enemy.
Our hero, Kafka, is right in the thick of things as he seeks to join the Japan Defense Force as a kaiju bodywasher. Kafka needs to figure out how to adapt to his new reality after something terrible happens to him while he’s going about his regular day.

The first episode of Kaiju No. 8 begins with a monster wreaking havoc in Japan’s Yokohama. Under Mina Ashiro’s leadership, the Third Division of the Defense Corp swoops in and vanquishes the bothersome kaiju while many officials rush people to safer areas. The scene then shifts to our protagonist, Kafka Hibino, who is standing some distance away, studying the kaiju’s bones.
In order to clean up after the kaiju, Kafka and his crew go to its location. His commander assigns Kafka the task of handling intestinal duties after he assists one of his allies. After a while, Kafka thinks on what he did for his intestinal duty at home. While thinking about Mina, he happens to overhear a news report. Kafka remembers a time when he and Mina were together.
At that point, Kafka mentions that he and Mina intend to wipe out the kaiju. After that, Kafka thinks about the positive impact his present employment has on both himself and society. Reno, a new recruit, and Kafka reunite with his coworkers. Together, he and Reno talk about Reno’s aspiration to join the Defense Corps.
Subsequently, Kafka and the rest of the group go to the site of the deceased kaiju. Much to Kafka’s dismay, his boss has assigned him and Reno the unpleasant task of cleaning up the intestines. Kafka and Reno go to a park to unwind after they finish their tasks. Kafka equips Reno with tools to handle their current mission. Later on, Kafka says goodbye to his coworkers. Reno passes by Kafka just before he leaves and tells him that he can still apply to the Defense Corps.
Reno, Kafka is grateful. A yoju tries to hurt Reno before he leaves. In order to warn Reno to run, Kafka rescues him. He starts a chase sequence with the yoju. In this scene, a flashback reveals additional information regarding Kafka’s dreams and his connection with Mina. Reno saves Kafka from the yoju just in time. Mina and her army kill all of the yoju before they ever reach their deaths. A hospital later, Kakfa and Reno are conscious again. Source from ReviewGeek.
