Previously in Chapter 77

So-Soel goes completely crazy and starts throwing tantrums at Siwoon after her attempted assassination fails. Despite her rage, Siwoon tries to comprehend the issue and soothes her.

Swoon claims he was unaware of her illness and the struggles Seon has been facing. No matter what happens, Siwoon tells herself, it is not her fault. Even though Seol lost her cool, she eventually calmed down and made peace with Siwoon.

In the same vein, Siwoon begs her not to torture herself for the benefit of others. Seol passes out and coughs blood all over the place before collapsing unconscious. Seol thinks back on her past and how Siwoon was the one to protect her from harm.

She wakes up covered in blood and calls for her bodyguard, Siwoon, only to learn that he sacrificed himself by cutting himself with a knife and feeding his blood to Seol to restore her normal pulse. The bodyguards intervene before Siwoon does any more harm to himself, and he quickly leaves.

Later, Seol makes an effort to get in touch with Siwoon. After this, Lee Siwoon mysteriously disappears, leaving Chairman Kang Sera and Jinie to wonder where he went. They were unable to track him down, leading them to believe that Lee Siwoon had been preparing for this moment all along. For added secrecy, he avoids leaving any electronic footprints by turning off his phone.

After some time had passed, the members of Seol’s clan were discussing the most recent developments with the Sun-Woo clan and Murim’s health. It appears that only they have a correct assumption on Siwoon’s whereabouts as of late. At the conclusion of the manhwa, Siwoon is surprised to come across a bald martial arts expert who wants to know how he stumbled across a shrine.
