The release date for Star Wars Outlaws has been leaked by Ubisoft. It happened just before the new trailer was set to come out. Everyone has been guessing when the game will drop and now we finally know it’s happening in late 2024. The game will be a big open-world adventure in the Star Wars universe. Ubisoft Japan made a mistake on their YouTube channel, accidentally showing the release date but now we know the game is releasing on Friday, August 30.

Ubisoft has to put up the Star Wars Outlaws trailer on many YouTube channels in different languages. This means they have to upload the same trailer with different audio tracks many times. It is a big job and there is a higher chance of something going wrong because of all the uploads.
Gematsu noticed that Ubisoft Japan’s YouTube page made a mistake. They put up the video for Star Wars Outlaws before it was supposed to be released. But they forgot to change some details like the release date.
Ubisoft hasn’t said anything officially yet, so the release date for Star Wars Outlaws might not be the same as what was shown on the Ubisoft Japan YouTube channel. But it’s unlikely that this will happen.
For now, fans just have to wait for the story trailer to come out. It’s premiering on April 9 at different times depending on where you live. More information about Star Wars Outlaws and other Ubisoft games will be shared at the Ubisoft Forward event on June 10 in Los Angeles. There might also be some big reveals about other games on June 7 during the Summer Games Fest.
According to the leak from Ubisoft Japan’s YouTube channel Star Wars Outlaws will hit the screen on Friday, August 30.
In January, Ubisoft said Star Wars Outlaws would come out “late this year.” But later, they said that was wrong. However, it turns out the first guess was right, according to Gematsu.
Also, some accidental sharing of information about the Ultimate Edition of Star Wars Outlaws showed that the game will get extra stuff and updates. This includes a Season Pass that comes with the main game.
For those who need a reminder about Star Wars Outlaws, here’s what Ubisoft has shared about the game: “Play the first-ever Star Wars game where you can explore a big world. It is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. You will visit different planets, some you already know and some new ones. Play as Kay Vess, a new character who wants to be free and start over, along with her friend Nix. You will have to fight, steal and use your smarts to beat the bad guys as you become one of the most wanted people in the galaxy.”
