The Skyesports Masters 2024 is a big gaming competition happening soon. It is all about playing Counter-Strike 2, a popular video game. Teams from different places will join like Aurora Gaming and Gods Reign. They will fight online not in a real place, because of some problems. This competition was supposed to be in Mumbai, but it moved to Europe. There are eight teams playing and they have a special way to find out who wins. Originally, they planned to have the games in Mumbai but something unexpected happened, so now they are going to have the tournament in Europe instead. This way people from all over the world can watch the games because teams from different places will be there trying to win.
When Skyesports Masters was first planned, it was supposed to be a league just for India with certain teams owning spots. But then, Valve made an announcement in August 2023. This changed the plan. Instead of a league, they decided to have a tournament with eight teams. Five teams got invited directly and three teams had to compete in qualifying matches to get in (two from Europe and one from India). Each match will be the best of three games and the final match will be the best of five.
