Masumi finds out about Marin’s Haniel cosplay that went viral. Since he’s unable to grasp the idea of going viral, Marin clarifies how influencers played a role. Miyako and Suzuka, two of her friends, are gushing over her fame in their group chat.
Before Masumi and Marin head out to the shrines, Marin spills the beans about how an agency scouted her to make cosplay her career. When Masumi heard this, he voiced his agreement. He goes on to say how cute she looked in her costumes and wants to know where she got them. She explains to him that a friend of hers manufactured them. The idea that she’s having her buddy create such detailed and excellent drawings makes Masumi furious since, in her mind, she might be taking advantage of her friend.
This prompts Marin and Masumi to pay a visit to the Gojos, where Masumi formally apologizes to Wakana for what Wakana perceives as Marin’s exploitation of him. Wakana tells him he didn’t have to apologize because he utilized the event as practice. At the same time, Marin notices that Wakana is acting normally again and is no longer pouting, but she chooses to act as if nothing has changed. She continues by adding that she has always compensated Wakana for his job and that she never coerced him into doing anything. Masumi compliments Wakana’s work as the father and daughter quarrel outside the Gojo’s.
After Masumi sees how embarrassed Wakana is, he recognizes what a nice kid Wakana is. Masumi’s “rampage” continues and even explodes when Kaoru informs him that they have been having dinner parties with Marin and that she has been enjoying tasty, homemade dishes.
Masumi extends an invitation to visit the shrine after they finish lunch, thanking Wakana for their hospitality. With grace, Wakana declines, explaining that he has already made arrangements to accompany his cousin. Once again thanking Wakana for everything, Masumi turns to his daughter and asks him to take excellent care of Marin.
