The battle between Sakura and Sugishita began in the most recent episode of the Wind Breaker anime. But the battle never ended because someone started yelling encouragement over the speakers. Sakura couldn’t help but wonder how someone so positive could be the strongest student at Furin High when she heard that it was the voice of Hajime Umemiya, the top student. But after that, they summoned the class to the courtyard.
There, Sakura reconnected with Toma Hiragi, the local resident who rescued him and Kotoha in their initial altercation. Then Hiragi warned him that if he told anyone that Kotoha Tachibana had been involved in the altercation, it could lead to trouble. Nirei proceeded to inform Sakura about the organizational structure of Bofurin, stating that Hiragi was a powerful student since he was one of the Four Kings who served directly under Umemiya.
A senior was to accompany each group of four or five first-years while they patrolled the area. Sugishita, Nirei, Suo Hayato, and Hiragi formed a team per Sakura’s request, with Hiragi serving as their guide. The band discovered a local middle schooler fleeing from Shishitoren territory, who was actually a member of Bofurin’s rival organization, battered and bloodied.
Jo Togame, introduced as the second-in-command of Shishitoren, intervened when Sakura and Sugishita began to battle the Shishitoren gang members. Leaving an atmosphere of peril behind, he whisked Sakura away with his company while promising that they would battle shortly. After formally introducing the Bofurin leader to Umemiya, the group returned to Furin High with the middle schooler to report the event.
