The news that the series’ next episodes would be delayed surprised everyone who had grown attached to Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie. The official website has announced that the production house, Doga Kobo, has been forced to temporarily halt operations due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the company. With the announcement, it was revealed that a few Doga Kobo staff members had tested positive for COVID-19. To bring the situation under control, they will have to halt production for a few weeks. Furthermore, the company must take precautions to prevent the virus from spreading to other employees and the general public.
Due to a virus outbreak, the production house Doga Kobo was forced to close its doors for 11 days from April 6 to April 18. Instead of Episode 7, fans will see the First Special Episode of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie on May 21, as originally planned. Doga Kobo’s other projects, such as RPG Fudousan and Technoride Overmind, will also be delayed for the same reasons.
