Saint Seiya: Crunchyroll adds anime with remastered English dub

Crunchyroll has announced that it has added all 114 episodes of the original Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac anime with a remastered English dub.

Crunchyroll has announced that it has added all 114 episodes of the original Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac anime with a remastered English dub. The anime is currently available in North America, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa with the remastered English dub.

Previously, the streaming platform added the anime in Latin American territories with both a Spanish and Portuguese English dub. The anime originally aired from 1986 to 1989. The original Saint Seiya manga was published by Kurumada from 1986 to 1990. The manga has also inspired several TV anime, original video anime projects, anime films, and spinoff manga.

The history of the original manga

The original series has 35 million copies in print. The Saint Seiya: Saintia Sho spinoff manga also has an anime. The original manga was published in English by Viz Media under the Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac moniker.

ADV Films released Toei Animation’s anime adaptation of the manga with an English dub under the title Knights of the Zodiac. Later, the company released an unedited version of the title Saint Seiya. New Video Group later also released the series on DVD.

Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya, the CG anime remake based on the original manga, debuted worldwide in July 2019. Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac – Battle for Sanctuary, the second season was released in July 2022.

A live-action film of the manga named Knights of the Zodiac will be released in Japan on April 28. The film is titles Saint Seiya: The Beginning in Japan. The film will also be released in the US on May 12.

A Galaxy Next Door: TV Anime announces English dub cast

Crunchyroll has announced that it will start streaming an English dub for the TV anime of Gido Amagakure’s A Galaxy Next Door manga. The English cast includes:

  • Katelyn Barr as Shiori
  • Nazeeh Tarsha as Ichiro
  • Meg McClain as Chihiro
  • Kelsey Maher as Machi
  • Emily Fajardo as Fumio
  • Jack Reeder as Morikuni
  • Natalie Van Sistine as Miyako
  • Bruce DuBose as Takeru
  • Laurie Steele as Aya

The English dub is directed by Jonathan Rigg and Jeremy Woods will be serving as ADR engineer. Gino Palencia is the mixer. Hayden Daviau and Barr, who will play Shiori are in charge of writing the scripts.

The anime first released on the TOKYO MX and BS11 channels on April 8. The anime is also streamiong on the d Anime Store, U-Next, and other streaming services in Japan. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs.
