Sony has confirmed that it is bringing the Resident Evil 4 remake for PlayStation 5. The game is expected to provide players with an experience they will never forget as one of the most iconic games in the franchise is coming back.

Sony made the announcement to remake the long-awaited game during its June 2 State of Play that showcased enhanced graphics for the survival horror shooter. That’s not all, Capcom will also make PSVR 2 content available for players to explore new ways of playing the classic title.

Capcom has already made the game available to almost all platforms, but this time it will be an upgraded remake for next-gen consoles. But the developers wish to bring a “fresh feeling” to Leon’s solo campaign and they are in a process of “reimagining the storyline” while sticking to Resident Evil’s overall direction.

Alongside graphical upgrades and other enhancements that Capcom will add to the new game, the studio also revealed that it is also developing PSVR 2 content. A Resident Evil 4 port for PSVR was released on October 21 and it looks like the developers will cash in on that success with the remake. Details of the game’s VR content are yet to be known but Sony will take wraps off more details in the coming months as the launch approaches.
