The PUBG Global Championship 2021 is rapidly approaching. On November 19, 2021, the long-awaited competition will kick off with a Rank decision match. To win the title, 32 eligible teams from around the world will compete for a month. All eligible teams will travel to Paradise City in Incheon, Korea, to compete for over $2 million in prize money.

PUBG Global Championship Schedule

James Yang, Director of PUBG Mobile Esports, delivered some exciting news about the road ahead during PMWI’s closing keynote session. He said that the second PUBG Mobile Global Championship, which will be held in two stages, will take place between November 2021 and January 2022.

The League stages will take place in November and December of 2021, with the finals taking place in January of 2022. Based on the total cumulative points of two seasons, each PMPL will send the best team to PMGC directly. Regions that are unable to compete in the PMPL will have the opportunity to qualify through their own regional championships.

The complete schedule for the PMGC 2021:

  • League (East and West): Nov. 30 to Dec. 19
  • League Finals (East and West): Dec. 22 to 24
  • PMGC 2021 Grand Finals: Jan. 21 to 23

PUBG Global Championship Format

The League stages will take place in November and December of 2021, with the finals taking place in January of 2022. Based on the total cumulative points of two seasons, each PMPL will send the best team to PMGC directly. Regions that are unable to compete in the PMPL will have the opportunity to qualify through their own regional championships.

40 teams will compete in the league stage of the $6 million PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2021 for a position in the grand finals. The league will take place online and will be split into two regions, with 20 teams competing in each.

PUBG Global Championship Format

The overall prize fund for the league stage, according to Tencent, is $1,470,000. This will most likely be split evenly between the West and the East, with each region receiving $725,000. The remaining $20,000 will be awarded to players based on their individual accomplishments.

PUBG Global Championship Roadmap

The leagues in the West and East follow the same format. It will take place across three weeks, from November 30 to December 19. The weekdays will be played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The top 16 teams will advance to the Super Weekend the following week, which will take place from Friday through Sunday.

While the scores on weekdays will be reset each week, the Super Weekend will award vital championship points that will determine which 16 teams will proceed to the League Finals.

PUBG Global Championship Roadmap


The League Finals will be held on December 22-24. The top 16 teams from each region’s Super Weekends will compete in 18 games (six per day) to determine the PMGC 2021 finalists. From the east, nine teams will advance to the grand finals while the best six from the West will qualify.

The Grand Finals of the PMGC 2021 will be held from January 21 to 23. Aside from the 15 teams from the league stage, one team will be invited to the competition directly. Tencent has yet to reveal who this person is. The grand finals will include a massive prize pool of $4,530,000, with $1,470,000 given in the league stage.
