Season 2 of Overwatch 2 will also contains a fresh limited-time event named Battle for Olympus, which is starting from Jan. 5 and going to end on 9. The trailer doesn’t delivers much in the term of specifics, but it does seems to features the game’s Ilios map and contains Junker Queen calling down team-wiping lightning strikes. The Greek gods theme for the game’s next battle pass seems to have new skins for Roadhog (Cyclops), Ramattra (Poseidon), Lúcio (Hermes), Widowmaker (Medusa), Reinhardt (Minotaur), and Pharah (Hades). Junker Queen’s new mythic skin will probably be the end-of-battle-pass reward, related to Genji’s Cyber Demon skin from season 1.

Also, we get a glimpse at new holiday cosmetics for Bastion, who looks to be receiving a gingerbread house-inspired skin for Winter Wonderland 2022 and Mei, who is receiving a rabbit-themed skin for Lunar New Year 2023. But the huger gameplay improvements come in the aspect of Ramattra, who will be encompassed as component of season 2’s battle pass, and a latest Escort map, Shambali, set in the Himalayan peaks.

Overwatch executive producer Jared Neuss said initially this month that, in reaction to season 1 of Overwatch 2, Blizzard wants gamers “to feel more rewarded” for playing the game in coming seasons. Neuss indicated at more free skins that can be received by playing events like Battle for Olympus and by watching streamers on Twitch.
