Asian Games 2022 Hangzhou Exclusive Summoner Icon & Emote

In the world of League of Legends, a Summoner Icon serves as a visual representation of a player’s profile. These icons make appearances in in-game lobbies, loading screens, and on the profile page. Essentially, they function as profile photos for your League of Legends account and can also be seen next to the names of other players on your friend list and in chat rooms. Riot Games consistently adds new Summoner icons to the game, expanding the list with each passing season.

These icons often depict champions, specific skins, and thematic elements. They are released as part of special in-game events and designs and can also feature a variety of random elements.

Emotes, on the other hand, are expressive caricature-style images related to champions and other League of Legends themes. These cosmetic flares are used in-game to convey different expressions. Players can access the emotes via the radial menu using the default hotkey, “T.”

To celebrate the groundbreaking inclusion of League of Legends esports in the 19th Asian Games as a medal event, Riot Games has unveiled two exclusive in-game items:

  • Hangzhou 2022 Icon
  • Hangzhou 2022 Emote

Both of these exclusives showcase the iconic poro holding a gold medal, symbolizing the Games.

Riot Games described these exclusives as follows: “In celebration of League of Legends’ participation in the 19th Asian Games, a continental multi-sport event held in Hangzhou.”
