The last chapter starts with Kitari, Heki, and others escaping from the castle and later we see Yotanwa, Shin and Ouhon leaving. Then, it moved to Kanyou where everyone seemed shocked like they’d seen something scary. Even the King and Shouheikun looked sad, like their big dream of bringing all the states together had just gone away.
Next, Ouhon questioned Sou’ou about not being with Ousen. Sou’ou replied that if Ouhon was so worried then he should go himself. Ouhon knew it wouldn’t make a difference. They then discussed the battle, admitting they underestimated Riboku.
Sou’ou didn’t think Ousen messed up but he figured some chances came up after they won at Shukai Plains. He said Ousen wasn’t to blame for losing. Riboku fought straightforwardly but not using tricky plans that Ousen’s good at handling. By keeping the Gyoku Hou and Hi Shin Unit in check, Riboku kept the battlefield less chaotic.
Sou’ou thinks Ousen will win the next battle but Ouhon isn’t so sure they will get another chance. Ouhon then told Sou’ou that he was giving Ousen over to him because some important allies were no longer there. But Sou’ou said Ouhon should stick with Ousen. However, Ouhon felt he had to do something different.
