According to the official website for the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime, the second season will not air its sixth episode (the 18th episode of the series) on May 14 as originally planned.

Instead, a recap special will be broadcasted on that date, covering the highlights of the first five episodes of the second season (which equates to episodes 13-17 overall in the series). The fifth episode is still scheduled to air this Sunday without any changes. On April 9, the anime’s second season debuted in Japan on MBS, TBS, and 26 of their affiliated stations.

The history of anime

The anime’s first season premiered in Japan in October 2022 on MBS and TBS, airing on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. The anime was simultaneously streamed by Crunchyroll, which also began streaming the English dubbed version of the anime on February 5. On November 13, a recap compilation special delayed the broadcast of the seventh episode of the first season.

The anime’s music is being composed by Takashi Ohmama, and a team of skilled designers, including JNTHED, Kanetake Ebikawa, Wataru Inada, Ippei Gyōbu, Kenji Teraoka, and Takayuki Yanase is overseeing the mechanical designs.

Where to watch the English translation of the prequel?

The prequel episode of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, titled Prologue, made its debut on the Gundam.info YouTube channel worldwide on September 1st. The episode was also made available on streaming platforms in Japan on September 4th, and subsequently aired on MBS and TBS on September 25th.

On November 10, an English translation of Ichiro Okouchi’s prequel short story for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, titled “Cradle Planet,” was posted on the anime’s official website.
