Rockstar Games just released a big update, and this time it’s all about animals and adventures. After waiting for ten years, players can now find animals like deer and coyotes running around the game world. But that’s not all—there’s a new chop shop business, cool cars, and even drift races to enjoy. This update adds a lot of fun stuff to the game, making it feel more alive than ever. Let’s explore what’s new and why this is a game-changer for everyone playing GTA Online. GTA Online Welcomes Animals After a Decade!

What’s New in GTA Online

As expectation builds for Rockstar’s new game, Grand Theft Auto VI, don’t forget about GTA Online’s lasting success. The most recent version, dubbed 1.68 or the Chop Shop update, is significant. This update is no small feat, boasting 11 new cars, over 300 new pieces of clothing, 32 new tattoos, birthday gifts, daily challenges, a spacious 100-car garage for GTA+ subscribers, a novel business venture, and numerous general improvements, bug fixes, a new rifle, and the legitimate acquisition of police vehicles.

Your Own Illegal Chop Shop

The ability for gamers to own and operate an illegal chop shop is central to this upgrade. Players work with Yusuf Amir from GTA IV to steal luxury vehicles and disassemble less expensive vehicles for parts and extra cash. The ability to drive a tow truck is unlocked by owning this chop shop, providing a new side hustle of towing autos for deconstruction and extra revenue.

Wildlife Experience in GTA Online

The introduction of wildlife, including deer and coyotes, into the world of GTA Online is the most exciting revelation for seasoned gamers. Rockstar announced this in November, and it is now a reality, bringing life to the game’s landscape. With the addition of animals, the virtual Los Santos feels more alive and less dim. Players must, however, exercise caution, especially when outrunning the cops on jet motorcycles!

Regrettably, the wildlife feature is exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game, leaving PC players and those on previous-gen consoles out of the experience. While hardware limitations may explain this exclusion, it remains puzzling and frustrating that Rockstar hasn’t updated the PC version to align with current-gen counterparts. Perhaps, in the future, this discrepancy will be addressed.

Equal Access to Law Enforcement Vehicles

On a positive note, law enforcement vehicles are now accessible across all platforms. Completion of specific challenges or missions grants players the ability to purchase a police cruiser, an unmarked cop car, or a riot van. Completing the Gangbanger Robbery scope-out mission unlocks the cruiser, surviving a three-star wanted level for five minutes grants access to the unmarked cop car, and losing a four or five-star wanted level naturally opens the door to the riot van.

The latest GTA Online update not only introduces exciting gameplay elements but also addresses the longstanding desire for wildlife in the virtual world. Whether you’re into new business ventures, thrilling races, or simply exploring the livelier streets of Los Santos, Rockstar Games continues to keep the GTA Online experience fresh and engaging.
