Bolek anticipated the King’s skepticism and had already conducted extensive searches of the neighboring countries. Bolek explains to the King that he looked for the Saintess all over the world and couldn’t find her anywhere else because she must be in this country. Although it appears highly improbable, the King still has reservations and wonders if the impact of the Nation’s barrier was behind what Bolek experienced.
If the Saintess were present, the King imagines, the Holy Empire would become even stronger. The Holy Nation has one of the 10 grandmasters despite having an army and territory that are statistically equivalent to those of other countries. With the Saintess joining such a formidable army, no country would dare oppose the pious nation.
Bolek responds to the King’s question about how he can assist by saying that they need only a guide to deliver the holy Knights to the Oracle’s domain. Since the King was previously unaware of the Oracle’s Land, he asked Bolek about it. Bolek informed the King that the Oracle’s Land is a place with rough terrain located close to the Levettan Plateau. The King knows that Bolek’s trip to the Oracle’s country is fraught with danger, so he gives him until tomorrow to be ready.
After saying goodbye to Bolek, the King heads back to his quarters. While on his travels finds himself wondering if the Saintess has any connection to the sorcerer master. The King summons Decilon and orders him to hook him up to the tower’s enchanted line of communication.
After a year of hard labor, Ell and Cilfir on the opposite side of the country have completed the barrier over the Manticore Valley. Ell informs Cilfir that if anybody else him or her attempts to disrupt the barrier’s mana flow, they will be subject to a number of restrictions. Furthermore, inside the barrier, no one may completely display their powers.
In the midst of Elise praising Ell’s efforts, Kaina appears to let him know that he has a magic message. Ell knows this is urgent, so he teleports there right now. Cilfir is worried because she knows something is off, too.
