Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Schedule, New Skins, Collaborations and More

On May 24, 2024, at 2 AM Eastern Time the next season is slated to launch following planned downtime, at around 1:30 AM Eastern Time, matchmaking will be turned off, stopping gamers from joining in online gaming. Fans of Fortnite are asked to finish their Battle Passes before this interruption, the appearance of the T-60 Power Armour on Fortnite’s Twitter account also suggests a possible Fallout partnership, which is hinted at in this update.

New key art featuring a variety of skins anticipated for the upcoming season was released by Fortnite on Twitter on May 23. Highlights include Magneto dressed in armour evoking Mad Max, a redesigned Bright Bomber skin, and a special peapod-like skin.

Also, the key art verified the return of the driveable war bus, Magneto’s arrival supports an earlier Twitter leak by Hypex, indicating that Fortnite would likely work with Marvel on further projects in the future.

Fortnite and Monster Jam have worked together to release a fun teaser trailer for the next season, in the teaser the island gets covered in a sandstorm that causes destruction and introduces Mad Max-style vehicles that emerge from a vault that resembles a jaw.

A big boat is hidden within this storm identified by a red light blinking in Morse code that reads “no hope” a message that was initially visible during the May 16 live event. The next season, “Wrecked” will have a post-apocalyptic, dusty vibe, the vice president of Epic Games concisely summed up this concept in a tweet that included the word “Nitro.”

As verification of this, small cars with licence plates that read “EAT NTRO” were sent to Fortnite designers repeating the vice president’s suggestion. The season offers weapon-equipped vehicles which will up the stakes on the challenging gameplay.

Map Changes and POI Removals

It is expected that the Fortnite map will experience major changes due to the elimination of specific Points of Interest (POIs) such as Mount Olympus, Ruined Reels, Fencing Fields and The Underworld. Although the reason for these changes is still unknown the impending sandstorm probably plays a part.

The Fallout teaser suggests that Snooty Stepps may be impacted by the sandstorm implying that the update would change a number of areas. Fans will be kept hooked and exploring the dynamic world of Fortnite with plenty of new content, collaborations and exciting gameplay updates in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3.
