The new Masterworking feature which allows players to enhance their gear, has to be disabled because it didn’t work properly in Blizzard’s most recent Diablo 4 Update 1.4.1. The cost of gold Masterworking was also reduced by this update, however, players are not happy with the way Season 4 mounts have been modified with many pointing out new issues.

While Blizzard is working on a solution for the Masterworking issue gamers are hoping that it will be fixed soon, despite these problems Season 4 is incredibly popular setting a new player record on Steam.

Diablo 4 Update 1.4.1 Player Concerns and Blizzard’s Response

There are more problems impacting the most recent season of Diablo 4 besides Masterworking issues, players have expressed disappointment with the most recent changes to the Season 4 mounts.

Criticisms on social media draw attention to concerns that haven’t existed since Season 1 like shortened dash times and fresh bugs that mess with mount functioning.

Season 4 of Diablo 4 has been a huge success even with Update 1.4.1’s glitches. A spike in player activity followed the release of the latest season of Loot Reborn reaching a record-breaking 29,000 concurrent users on Steam, since the game’s original release, this peak represents its most played period.

On its forums, Blizzard opened up to having a problem, Community Manager Adam Fletcher has confirmed that Masterworking has been temporarily disabled. Although there is no set date for the hotfix’s release the development team is actively working on it.

While the exact reason for the issue is still unknown gamers have found a way to temporarily restore access to the Masterworking feature by running Pit levels or transforming materials.

Changes and Challenges

After many issues were fixed and the game’s balance was adjusted Diablo 4’s Update 1.4.1 was released, the adjustment of the Masterworking system to lower the necessary gold was the main focus of this release.

The patch specifically aimed to reduce the cost of gold beginning at Rank 5 and increasing until Rank 12 at which point expenses would be chopped by 75%. However this change accidentally led to problems, which brought about the system’s failure.

The temporary disabling of Masterworking created difficulty for gamers even though Diablo 4 Update 1.4.1 included positive adjustments meant to improve the play experience. The community is excitedly waiting for the upcoming hotfix and Blizzard’s commitment to fixing the problem is clear.
